The Story Behind Nashville’s Murals
Nashville’s mural movement began gaining attention in the early 2010s, led by projects like Nashville Walls Project and artists such as Kelsey Montague and Tim Davis. These creative expressions transformed the city’s neighborhoods into open-air galleries — each piece celebrating music, diversity, and connection.
What started as a few colorful walls has turned into a defining feature of the city, blending art, community, and Southern spirit.
